Cost-effective, self-filling Hessian bags filled with super-absorbent polymer.


Each bag weighs  around 600g empty, but in contact with water, quickly expands to over 20Kg. and forms a more effective barrier to water penetration than conventional sandbag.

Compact to store and transport, simple to deploy, and with a shelf-live of 5-10years, they are a realistically priced emergency flood response system.

NOT FOR USE WITH SALT WATER.

Quicksandbag is an innovative product that solves the heavy weight and difficult handling and storage requirements of traditional sandbags.

Our Quicksandbag is a sandless sandbag containing a water absorbing gel (super absorbent polymer) that is activated simply by soaking in water for 4 - 5 minutes.

Simply remove the Quicksandbag from its protective plastic wrapper and soak in water for 4 - 5 minutes. The sandless sandbag will then be about 4" (10cm) high and ready to use. The activated bag weighs approx. 29 - 32lb (13 – 14kg)

QUICKSANDBAGS are available in two sizes:

Quicksandbags have a long five year shelf life.

After use the outer hessian and inner cotton bags are biodegradable. The gel is inert and the bags can be disposed of in normal landfill. Alternatively the contents can be dug into your garden to aid water retention.
